Nestled in the heart of Miami Gardens, Florida, Maison de St. Joseph was founded on the principle of LOVE by Junie Stinville and Ruth Ollivier. For over 40 years, Ms. Stinville and Ms. Ollivier have dedicated their lives to helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities with whom they always had a special bond, and who they believed society had dismissed.

With LOVE, FAITH AND DEVOTION, Ms. Stinville and Ms. Ollivier set out to show that individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities should not be forgotten. They believed that they could not only teach those with intellectual and developmental disabilities to integrate into society, but that society had much to learn from the intellectually and developmentally disabled.

In the late 1970's, with belief in their patron saint, St. Joseph (the worker saint) as their guide, Ms. Stinville and Ms. Ollivier realized their dream of owning their own facility. With just four residents, Ms. Stinville and Ms. Ollivier began providing personalized care in a family-oriented setting.

Maison de St. Joseph has grown in the past 40 years to include two residential facilities and one adult day training facility.

Maison de St. Joseph continues to serve those with intellectual and developmental disabilities with dignity, humility and LOVE.
